Hi Dave

I was hoping you could put this on Breaking News for me please!

Peterborough Ladies will be competing in the Umbro 11s at Manchester on Sat July 21 and Sun July 22.  Due to holidays we need 3 players to join us for the competition. You will spend Friday and Saturday night in hotel accommodation with games taking place on Sat and Sunday. This has been heavily subsidised due to sponsorship and will cost each player £20 for the whole weekend. We will be travelling by minibus from Peterborough to save on petrol costs.

Peterborough are a fun and friendly side (off the pitch) but competitive on! If you would like to play in the tournament (provided you have informed your team manager) then contact Maria Rudd on 07753344008 or email: maria.rudd@yahoo.co.uk

I know the AGM is just around the corner but I needed to bring you up to date with regard to the inclusion of Reserve teams within the ERWFL. As you are all aware we have had rules set out in our Region saying  that the Reserve teams would not be included in the Region. Cambridge City Reserves after winning their County League applied to enter the Region and after long consultations were told we  could not do so as the rules did not allow it. Under  the Women’s Football Pyramid rules Reserve teams are allowed to play up to level 5 of the pyramid which is our Division Ones. So Cambridge City approached the FA and the FA directed us to  comply with their rules. We then included them in our constitution for next season. Our decision to exclude Cambridge City Reserves at the first inset was because under Pyramid rules, decisions on promotion and relegation from the county league to the regional leagues had to be decided at the first and second Joint Liaison Meetings going back as far as 2003-2004 season which all counties attended and voted on, this process is the laid down process within the Pyramid Structure so as far as a Region was concerned we felt we had done everything to the letter of the FA law.

On Monday as a region we attended the Joint Liaison Meeting  to finalise the pyramid structure and the question was again raised about the inclusion of reserve teams within the Region and because an answer could not be given on the night another meeting was set for the ERWFL representatives to meet Ray Berridge the FA rep to sort the problem out. After a long and fruitful  meeting it was pointed out that our current rules have to be abided by and the  FA would have to support them  for this season.  This means that Cambridge City Reserves will not now be part of the ERWFL for next season. As a region we will have to remove the rule for next seasons county champions to comply with the Pyramid Charter.

There were several suggestion put forward where we could include reserve teams within our regional structure with the  most positive being the formation of a reserve division that could encompass the combination teams as well as regional premier and division one reserve teams. Obviously there would have to be consultations before this could happen and we  would look at getting enough teams to probably look at a geographical split to help travelling, but there would have to be enough teams willing to be part of that set up before we could move forward.

I look forward to seeing you all on Monday at the AGM.

Dave Dawson

Chair.

Today saw the final ERWFL League game of the season and Stevenage Borough emerged as Division One West Runners up after defeating their close rivals Cambridge Rangers 3-1. Stevenage will now compete against Chelmsford City to see who will challenge Barking for a place in the Premier Division next season. Because of early ground works the original venue has had to be change and Essex based side White Notley have stepped in to rescue us at the last minute. The first play off game will take place next Sunday 27th May 2007 with a 3,00pm kick off and the final play off game will take place on Thursday 31st May 2007 at the Sawbridgeworth Town FC but with a 7.00pm kick off.

To give a final note may I saw thank you to all member clubs for helping me throughout a difficult season with fixture changes by the dozen and also late changes for one reason or another. Lets hope that next season will start and finish on time and then we can all have the rest we all need between seasons.

Just to let you all know Brantham Athletic  will be pulling out of the round robin comp. I would be grateful if you could place a notice on the website for me regarding a new coach/manager for Brantham Athletic. We are sure that we'll keep going next season, Brantham is quite a big club & I'm hoping that one of the guys there will come to our rescue!

If anyone is interested they can contact Emma Ferguson on 07919371671.

07-05-07

This weekend has finally established the three divisional champions within the region so on behalf of the ERWFL congratulations to Cambridge City Premier Division Champions, Bedford & District Division One West Champions and Hethersett Athletic who have been Champions for a while of Division One East. Although this season has seen the fixture list extended due to the weather the level of competition throughout is a credit not only to the winning teams but to the Region as a whole. This has been shown in the close finish of all division, there seems to be no real easy games now which is testament to the quality of football being played at this Regional level.

02-05-07

Division One East round robin games come to a completion with the last game being played during this week. next weekend fixtures are as follows which are the first knock out games.

Hethersett Athletic  v  Brentwood Town

Mulbarton Belles  v  Lakenheath

Chelmsford City  v  Kings Lynn

Brantham Athletic  v  Barchester United

01-05-07

As we near the end of the season we are establishing the ups and downs within the league. We will be entertaining both Norwich City and Norwich City Canaries from the South East Combination League and after last weekends 3-3 drawn game  Dagenham & Redbridge have all but ended their chance of a quick return to the Combination League. Cambridge City are now poised in pole position to take the Premier crown with just one game left to play and three points clear. Division One East has been settled for some time with Hethersett Athletic being crowned champions and a solid finish to the season saw Chelmsford City take the runners up and play off place. Division One West is still battling it out. Bedford & District are currently on the top of the pile with points in hand but Stevenage Borough, Cambridge Rangers and Arlesey Town could all get the runners up spot if not the championship, all will unfold hopefully before the end of the month. After just one season in the top flight AFC Kempston Rovers will be looking at Division One football again next season after finding the Premier Division a step too far. Cambridge United secured their Premier Division status after beating Haverhill Rovers tonight, with just one game left to play United are now 3 points clear of Barking who have played all their games. Barking will enter the play off games after Chelmsford City play the runners up of Division One West. The winners will play Barking to see who secures the Premier spot for the 2007-08 season. With the two teams being relegated into the Region from the South East Combination League the Premier Division will run with 13 teams next season.

20-04-07

We have just been informed that Division One West club Stevenage Vixens are withdrawing from the league with immediate effect. This will mean that all their record for this season will be expunged from the league as per Rule 12.5

16-04-07

At tonight's meeting, Haverhill Rovers have expressed that they need a new manager for next season. If there are any interested parties out there that would be willing to manage the side then please e-mail Gary Spiers (club chairman)

spiers007@btinternet.com

11-04-07

Arlesey Town Secretary Maria Hilling has a new address: 11 Kitchen Garden Court, Hitchin , Herts. SG5 2BY. Her telephone and E-Mail will remain the same but at this moment in time she will be best contacted by her mobile. Any e-mail to be sent to the club should go via John Clark as per the contacts page.

05-04-07

I thought I would take this time to explain to the Division One East teams that are about to compete in the mini round robins games that ALL CURRENT LEAGUE RULES WILL APPLY. For instance only ERWFL registered players may play etc.

31.03.07

It is with regret that I have to inform the region that I have today received a letter from Cottenham United of Division One West withdrawing them from the region with immediate effect. Again it seems that player unavailability is the cause for this withdrawal. The management committee wishes to thank Cottenham United for their input into the region over the past years and wish all those associated with Cottenham United all the best for the future in whatever you choose to do. Perhaps some of the more dedicated players will pop up in other regional teams soon. Rule 12.5 states that any club that ceases to operate during the playing season all their records are expunged from the league. This has now been completed.

29-03-07

I know this is a late change to the handbook but it seems there is a mistake for Andy Bliss in as much that his telephone code is wrong. (No wonder he has not had any calls this season) Sorry Andy. His code is 01945 and not as printed 01954.

21-03-07

As you will have seen the Division One West clubs will not finish their season until very late May unless those member clubs can play night games etc. So as a sign of help can ALL Division One West clubs please look at the possibility of extra night games so that I can try and get the season finished a little earlier. There is still the matter of a couple of play off games to sort out as well and we are not allowed to play our league games in June. FA Rules dictate.

19-03-07

Cambridge Rangers have launched their new website at  www.cambridgerangers.com click here to check it out

18-03-07

Bill Servey has reminded me to tell you all that you will NOT be able to register any players after 31st March 2007 for this season. Rule 8.7a

11-03-07

The semi-final draws have been made tonight. The draw conducted by Chris Abbott and Dave Dawson. All games will be played on Neutral Grounds with appointed officials. The draws are as follows:

League Cup

Cambridge Rangers / Barking   v   Peterborough

Cambridge City   v   Dagenham & Redbridge

League Plate

Stevenage Borough   v   Brentwood Town

Sawbridgeworth Town   v   Cottenham United

Memorial Shield

Stevenage Vixens   v   Kings Sports

Bedford & District   v   Barton Rovers

Ground allocations will be advised once agreement has been reached with the clubs concerned.

06-03-07

Bill has reminded me to tell you all that the date for transfers of players from one club to another has now passed as it was the last day of February. Any one out there that is perhaps looking to sign any NEW players before the end of the season have till the end of this month March. Once this date has passed you are resigned to play with what you have on the books till the end of the season.

14-02-07

What I did fail to mention yesterday was that at the meeting it was reiterated about the need for Ground Criteria next season. As a region we are under pressure from the FA that all our Premier Grounds are up to speck and to be fair all clubs in or aspiring to be in the Premier have had 2 years to make sure the grounds they play on are acceptable. As was stated on Monday any club failing to meet the criteria will NOT be part of the Premier Division next season. It will mean that if you are currently a Premier side you will be relegated, if you are a Division One Champion and your ground does not meet the criteria you will not get promoted. All clubs will have until a certain cut off date (to be decided by the management committee) to comply. Ground Inspections will be completed by committee appointed officials who will need to be able to talk to the owners of the ground to certify that all criteria is agreed.

13-02-07

At last nights full council meeting an EGM was called and voted on for a new constitution to come into force for next season. The current Division Ones will change from West and East to North and South which will see Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire merge with Suffolk and Norfolk plus Kettering Town to form the North Division One, Essex moves to merge with Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire to form Division One South. The main aim was to equalise the two areas of the region so that both Division Ones have a better chance of having full divisions for the foreseeable future.

29-01-07

We have been informed that Cambridge Rangers will have a new secretary as of 1st February 2007, she is as follows:

Diana Lamaison, 29 Hemingford Road, Cambridge , Cambs. CB1 3BY. Tel (H) 01223-476576,  (Mob) 07811-852844   e-mail: dianalamaison@gmail.com

15-01-07

Hi everyone,

This bloody weather is causing me a headache as I am sure it is you as well. I have updated the web site results grid to show all the changes for the fixtures till the end of the season. I have tried to accommodate the county cups and the league cups etc so please if there are any problems then let me know straight away so that I can try and change it. There will be a follow up e-mail to show the changes just in case you can’t access the web site. If there are any players out there that may know that a club does not have access could they please copy the result grid and let the secretary of that club have a copy.

Many thanks

For those of you that are in the Northants area we have a referee who is prepared to travel who is making himself available for ladies football on a Sunday afternoon. His name is Stuart (no surname at this time) and you can reach him on the following numbers: 07765-253307 or 01536-397922.

21-12-06

We have been notified again by The Registrations Department at the Football Association that ALL players from outside of England requires an International Clearance before she can play in England. It even applies if she has not played for a club outside of England. If the player is over 12 years of age a clearance is required. These are the only exceptions:

INTERNATIONAL CLEARANCE APPLIES TO ALL PLAYERS OVER THE AGE OF 12 REGARDLESS OF STATUS (IE PROFESSIONAL OR AMATEUR) WHO COME INTO ENGLAND FROM ABROAD AND WANT TO PLAY FOOTBALL.

EXCEPTIONS:

1, IF A PLAYER CAME INTO ENGLAND AS A YOUNG CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 12 THEN A CLEARANCE IS NOT NEEDED.

2, IF A PLAYER HAS LIVED IN ENGLAND OVER 5 YEARS A CLEARANCE IS NOT REQUIRED.

3, IF A PLAYER HAS JUST COME INTO THE COUNTRY AGED OVER 12 THEN CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED.

4, IF A PLAYER HAS BEEN IN ENGLAND LESS THAN 5 YEARS THEN CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED,

5, IF A PLAYER COMES INTO ENGLAND AND SAYS HE/SHE HAS NOT PLAYED FOR ANY CLUB THEN WE STILL HAVE TO

GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS OF APPLYING TO THEIR LAST COUNTRY FOR CLEARANCE - STATING THAT LAST

CLUB IS NOT KNOW.  THE OTHER ASSOCIATION WILL THEN COME BACK TO US AND SAY THE PLAYER IS CLEAR

Hopefully this will be the definitive answer to all your questions from now on.

20-12-06

Excuse the cheap/ lazy method of greeting but I just wanted to say Happy Christmas to you folk on the top table from King's Ladies and a big thank you for all your efforts in running the league so well. Particular thanks to Dave for keeping the website in top shape - it is probably one of the best I've come across at this level of football.

Roll on the New Year!

Peter Kouwenberg

Thanks for the very nice comments Peter

Hi Dave

29.11.06

We have been notified again by Dawn Keleher at the Football Association that ALL players from outside of England requires an International Clearance before she can play in England. It even applies if she has not played for a club outside of England. If the player is over 12 years of age a clearance is required. These are NO exceptions:

26-11-06

Huntingdon Town Ladies are on the lookout for an assistant coach. Must be qualified to at least FA Level 1 and obviously with a CRB clearance. To assist at training and on match days. Please contact Graeme Ferrari on

01487-711353 or 07976-790789 or e-mail gratina@fsbdial.co.uk

21-11-06

It was stated at the meeting last night that ALL registrations of players if coming from another club be it from within or outside our region will require a clearance certificate. This will also apply to any player that is being dual signed.

Along with all the controversy surrounding International Clearance we have been notified by Dawn Keleher at the Football Association that ALL players from outside of England requires an International Clearance before she can play in England.

It was also brought to the attention of all in the meeting that Match sheets are not being completed correctly especially with regard to the substitute declaration at the bottom left of the form. Bill requires the player's coming off and who replaces them shirt number to be on the match sheet. This will enable the league to know who (if it was a cup game) is cup tied etc. Referee forms are another bone of contention as these are often only signed and not completed correctly. Under direction from the FA we require all referee marks of 50 or under to now be supported by a letter to Alex.

From the last meeting clubs were asked to contemplate a way in which we as a league can present the end of season trophies / medals. It seems that the assembled clubs were not in favour of a presentation evening but were perhaps in favour of something a little more local. An e-mail will be sent out with regard to the various options discussed for you to ponder and reply to.

Our newly appointed Competitions Secretary Chris Abbott was introduced to the assembled clubs. Chris had his first duty as an officer of the league when he undertook the draw for the next round of the league cup which is shown below.

The draw for the 2nd Qualifying Round of the League Cup was completed last night at the full council meeting;

Hethersett Athletic   v   Bedford & District

Cambridge Rangers   v   Mulbarton Belles

Chelmsford City   v   Kings Sports

Arlesey Town   v   Cottenham United

Kettering Town   v   Brentwood Town

Huntingdon Town   Bye

These games to be played on Sunday December 3rd 2006

All clubs who failed to attend last nights meeting without sending apologies will be fined as per rule 4.10a

20-11-06

Don't forget there is a full council meeting tonight at Bottisham. 8.00pm start

17-11-06

It seems that a few clubs are not always doing things right and to the rules. It has been notified that the match arrangement requirement of 5 days prior to a match (rule 10.14) is not being adhered to. The defaulting clubs will be notified.

We also have a change of club details in as much as Haringey Borough have two telephone number changes. The managers number is now 07837-634938 and the emergency number 07990-840731 should be replaced by 07776-153515.

We have also been notified that dual signed players will also need a clearance form from their primary club before registrations in this league can take place.

09-11-06

Bill Servey has flagged up a problem with clubs marking of referees. As you all know the Football Association brought out a new set of guidelines with regard to referee marking this season which has to be out of 100 and not ten as before. This was done so that a more accurate mark can be given. This is the second time I have had to mention this on this page so I will give you the rule so you can read it (this refers to the old marking system but you should convert it as per FA guidelines). The rule covering this marking system is rule 13.9. At the moment any mark 40 or under will need a letter to Alex to explain why. Next season we will have to adopt the FA criteria which states that below 50 as the lowest mark before a letter of explanation is required. Any club in breach of this rule will now as it stated be fined £10. So if you are not the club secretary reading this please pass it on so that your club is not fined.

08-11-06

It has just been notified that Gavin Clowsley is no longer the manager of Stevenage Borough Vixens

07-11-06

We have a change of address for Brantham Athletics'  Secretary / Fixtures it is as follows:

Emma Bamfield, c/o Clacton Police Station, 8 Beatrice Road, Clacton Essex. CO15 1ET. For  telephone contact use mobile number : 07919-371671

31-10-06

We do once again have to inform you that another club within the Region has decided to fold with immediate effect. White Horse Seltic informed the management committee that they would no longer be playing games. Their record within the region will now be expunged and I will look to reschedule the remaining games within the Division One East so that all teams play the rest of their games at the same time. (hopefully by next weekend new fixtures will be sent out)

30-10-06

Now this is information we like to receive:

Cambridge Rangers Vs Stevenage Borough  29-10-06

Dear Sir,

I had the pleasure of officiating in the above game yesterday. This was a late call-up on Saturday due to the originally designated referee having to cancel the appointment.

I wanted to advise you of the outstanding behaviour of both sets of players, officials and fans in what was a very close, hard fought and competitive 2-2 draw. There was not a single occurrence of dissent against my (or the club appointed assistant referees) decisions in the entire game. Both sets of players treated their opponents with very high levels of respect. The standard of play was exceptionally high and a credit to both teams.

Having looked on your website news page I see that this has not always been the case this season with other teams so reckoned it was important to pass on good news.

Yours in football,

Steve Wren

24.10.06

The web site will not be updated till Saturday at the earliest as I will not have access to a computer. Any player registrations will be posted on the notice board for this week. 17-10-06

We have now had confirmation that Sophtlogic who play in the Premier Division have folded as a club. The records of Sophtlogic have now been removed from the site and the necessary adjustments have been made.

17-10-06

All games to be played on Sunday 5th November 2006

A bit of an advanced warning Yvonne Chapman will not be able to complete any registrations during the following time: October 21st to October 28th inclusive. Please send any registrations during this time to Bill Servey (Address in handbook)

Bill made a comment about match sheets and referee forms still not being completed correctly even though he has spent a lot of time going over what is required. Every section of the Match Sheet has to be completed including the section at the bottom which shows who the substitutes are and who they have replaced during the game. Your referee mark MUST be out of 100 not 10 and the referee must be asked for his county registration number and that has to be placed on the form as well.

As a result of an FA directive ALL registration's from this date onward albeit from within our region or from outside our region will require a clearance form to prove that ALL liabilities have been completed with the previous club. There will be NO exceptions.

It is not often I get asked to lay down the law on this page but I am forced to do so because of the mindless few that are spoiling it for the majority. I bring your attention to rules 17.2, 17.3 and 17.6 which in the short time this season has been running have been broken on several occasions. I refer to abusive language to players and officials from spectators. We currently have three cases under review by the management committee. These rules are specific in as much as they spell out in no uncertain terms that if found guilty then the defaulting club can be expelled from the league. It is the clubs responsibility to keep spectators in check. Not the referee's or the Eastern Region. The Football Association makes it quite clear that abusive language in any form will be stamped out and we as an affiliated Region to the Football Association are duty bound to carry out its sanctions. So member clubs please make it clear to your supporters that there is a certain protocol that they must adhere to and if they do not they are jeopardising the future of the club they are supporting, and  that way we will be able to complete the season with all teams intact.

Bill Servey has informed me that his daughter HELEN HOYE has given birth to a baby boy. James weighed in at 8lb 7 1/2oz at 10.39pm  on 27th September. Bill tells me that the father is doing well, sorry mother and baby are doing well and that all being well should be home today.

On behalf of you all we wish Helen, Chris baby James and granddad Bill all the very best.

18-09-06

For the next 6 days all new registrations will be placed on the NOTICE BOARD page as the main club pages will be inaccessible to anyone for uploading information.

I have been informed that there are several of you out there that can't down load the Clearance form from the site as your computer does not access the Adobe Acrobat reader. I have now added a button that will allow you to open the File in Micro-Soft Word.

You have now been warned

21-08.06

Well here we are about to embark on the new season. Now just 6 days away and I am sure there will be lots of last minute activity to make sure all is ready. Points to remember. At this time of the season where perhaps late signing are not quite registered with the league please do not run the risk of sanctions by playing them. Also please remember the FA rule that governs the number of players required to play a game is 7. Please ensure that ALL SPECTATORS are aware of the general code of conduct as they are the HOME teams responsibility with the help of the oppositions if required should they be opposition spectators. All infringements of this matter should be reported to Alex Franklin. You have the right to evict spectators from the side of the pitch if that is what required. Please make sure ALL paperwork is completed and sent to the correct officer, ie. ALL match forms including the referee report form go to Bill Servey when completed after the match. Results to be telephoned to me Dave Dawson directly after the match so they are on my answer phone by 6.00pm latest. That should give you 2 hours to do so, so even if the line is busy you should be able to fulfil the task. As said at the last meeting when giving goal scorers please include their registration number. Please speak clearly so no mistakes are made. All that is left for me to say at this moment is, good luck to you all and remember to follow the FA code of conduct at all times, Have a great season.

Some or all of you may have been made aware of the FA's decision to not allow any jewellery at all to be worn for this coming season. Below is an update to this which will give a bit of flexibility regarding wedding rings only.

Jewellery Change of Mind

After receiving feedback from County Football Associations, Leagues, Clubs and Referees and taking into consideration their concerns, in particular regarding a player who cannot remove their wedding band, Neale Barry at the FA has issued the following amendment to the letter he sent out dated 5th July 2006 Law 4 of The Laws of the Game states that "A player must not use equipment or wear anything which is dangerous to himself or another player (including any kind of jewellery)"

Exception

A player, who can satisfy the referee prior to the game that their PLAIN WEDDING BAND is unable to be removed, will be allowed to cover it with tape. (This only applies to a plain wedding band and no other type of jewellery) This amendment is to ensure that no jewellery, which can be physically removed, is worn by players. It recognizes the fact that, sometimes through the passage of time, wedding bands become extremely difficult to remove.

This information was forwarded to me by Roger Barnard who received the info through the Essex County Women's Football League

09-08-06

A question has been asked once again about the qualifying age for a player to play in women's football. As I am sure you are aware the Football Association have moved the goal posts this season by making the eligible age that a player has to attain as 15 years by the 31st August of this year. This will mean that any player that is currently 14 and will not be 15 until after August 31st will not be able to play senior football until they are 16 years old. From the 2007-2008 season the FA have stated that when a player actually attains the age of 16 years she can then play senior women's football she will not have to wait until the following September. I know there has been a little confusion over this but please let me reiterate that this is a Football Association directive and as a Regional League that is governed by the FA we have to abide by their decisions and directives.

02-08-06

I have posted the new Premier Division Fixtures on the site under the Fixtures grid. I will also e-mail the new fixtures to those clubs so that you can print and paste them into the handbooks (when you get them). I was unable to full maintain the September fixtures as I first said, I hope this does not inconvenience you too much.

01-08-06

All Premier Clubs please refer to the results grid for your new fixtures. I apologise for the inconvenience caused and hope that the new fixtures do not upset you too much

31.07.06

Unfortunately I have just been informed that Aylsham Town  are to withdraw from the Region with immediate effect. This will mean that the Premier Division will now function with 12 teams. This will also mean that a completely new set of fixtures will be produced for those clubs affected. I will try and get5 these to you by the end of this week. I will also try and keep the current fixtures at least for September as they are currently listed although there are no guarantees.

28.07.06

Women's FA Cup Draw took place today and  the first three round draws concerning our member clubs are listed here

For those clubs not involved in the WFA Cup first round who now do not have a listed fixture you will be notified of a fixture to play that will be brought forward from the last part of the season.

While we are on the subject of Cup Competitions The past two seasons League Cup /Plate / Shield competitions have been archived for you to browse. You can access the pages through the Competitions page on the site.

Just as a slap on the wrist brings you back to life so might this. So far very few clubs have the full compliment of players registered to start the season and the deadline date is fast approaching. By August 1st every club MUST have a MINIMUM of 12 registered players. Rule 8.2c. When you look at your clubs contact page and see all those players printed in blue don't think they are registered because they are NOT. They are last seasons registered players for your club. This seasons registered players are printed in Red. I am sure you do not want the £25 fine that goes with not having enough players so get signing.

27-06-08

Cambridgeshire FA are holding an open forum for women's football. Click here to be taken to the flyer.

I have sent out a trial / test e-mail to clubs so as to check the e-mail addresses given and at this point there is just one mistake. Stevenage Borough will be listed in the handbook as ' ray.girling@ntlworld.com' it should be if the non return e-mail is correct 'raygirling@ntlworld.com'  There are also a couple of clubs that have not given e-mail addresses and we now need all clubs to be contactable by electronic mail for speed of information delivery and accountability as we will know that the information has been delivered. As I have spent a good deal of time putting together the handbook it has also come to light that we have a good few clubs that have only given one emergency telephone number where there should be two and a couple of clubs have given no number whatsoever. For you to check to see if your clubs info is all there and correct, on the home page of this site I have added a link that takes you to the 2006-07 handbook. Please use this to check for any problems. I have also now updated all the contact info on the site along with adding all the fixtures for all divisions under the results grid link button for that division. Should you have any problems then you can contact me @ david.dawson@erwfl.co.uk

26-07-06

It has just been pointed out that several clubs information on the website has somehow reverted back to last seasons information. This was caused by a mishap on my part uploading old information. I apologise for the problem and it will be sorted ASAP

I also have to give some clubs a reminder that time is running out for you to get your players registered for the first check point to stop getting a fine. 12 players minimum are required by 1st August 2006. So get you act together and prevent a fine coming your way.

Dear David,

I was wondering if you could please forward this to all those in the region who may be interested in taking part: 5-a-side tournament for women aged 16+ Sunday Aug 6th Ickleton, near Saffron Walden, Essex KO approximately 11am £25 per team, £10 deposit required before July 14th Contact Rissa Cahill on 07921 820447 Kind regards and thanks in advance Kirsty Clarke

28-06-06

We have today received a letter of withdrawal from Kirkley. Obviously this is a blow to the league and especially the East Division One which is now down to 9 Clubs. It will be the intention of the league to run with those 9 clubs which should have their league programme finished very early. Once finished a separate competition will be put in place so as to give all the clubs the extra games till the end of the season

21-06-06

As mentioned at the AGM a registration night has been set for Monday July 17th 2006 at Bottisham. We will be there from 7.30pm for you to bring along all your player registrations. We are looking to have all the satellite registration secretaries there as well as Bill Servey the Registration secretary so that any problems can be dealt with instantly. For those that would like to take up the offer of using this night please contact Alex Franklin so that we know how many clubs to expect on the night.

It is hope that now I have access to the web site again after a month of despair I will try and get an 'idiots guide' to form filling etc. uploaded to the site so that you can refer to online info. A new set of rules will be posted as soon as I get to type the updates into the page so keep browsing.

Fixtures and club info will be sent out to clubs as soon as we can accumulate the information necessary. The web site will also carry the information as well. To all clubs can you please make sure that your home ground address contains the Post Code as this helps when looking for directions etc.
